We give glory and praise to the God of open doors and abundant life for the Paraguayan people. Thank you, God, because we have witnessed your intervention with the indigenous communities, where you have been refuge, safety, and salvation. Thank you for the believing people who hold this Ministry where we can reach a town that needs medical care, support, and food security. Give us your understanding so that the daily journey is one that blesses and cares for this land and this people. Protect them from thieves and evil-doers who harm, hurt, and corrupt in pursuit of their own interests. Provide this beloved people their daily bread and may they experience your peace. Amen.

Mission Stewardship Moment from Paraguay:

Jesus, the Good Shepherd, has been opening doors so that the Friendship Mission of the Disciples of Christ Church can reach our indigenous brothers and sisters of the Paraguayan Chaco with their Medical Care Project. I visited two Enxlet indigenous communities, San Fernando and Sanapaná. In San Fernando there are sixty-two (62) families and we celebrated together the Medical Care Project, providing and medicines and assisting in food security. The project provided goats, sheep, and chickens with the appropriate advice from Churches Committee for Emergency Aid (CIPAE) and the construction of barnyards. Another achievement was the installation of electric power in the community that provides new opportunities, preservation of food and fresh water on days when the sun shines on them and their animals intensely. In the community of Sanapaná medical attention was requested, they were visited for the first time, and we hope to continue offering it monthly. This medical care has been of great impact to both communities and highly valued, being published in the Weekly Digital Capiatá, where they recognized the contribution of Friendship Mission and the young doctor from Capiatá.

These communities still have many concerns to overcome especially the problem of not having free entry and exit to their communities as they are enclosed by large Haciendas. We pray that the Lord will allow us to continue to support them so they can enjoy abundant life in a holistic way and enjoy the fullness and freedom of access to their homes. Our appreciation goes to the people of God for their love and support. You make it possible to reach these communities by providing medical care. Blessings
